Frequently Asked Questions

When is my price confirmed or locked?

Precious-metals prices move throughout the day. The price that applies to your order is confirmed to you before you pay, together with the time by which payment must be sent. See the Pricing and Price-Lock Policy.

How does bank-wire payment work?

After your order is confirmed, you receive bank-wire instructions through our verified process. Your order stays on hold until our staff have verified that the funds have cleared, and fulfillment begins after that. Wire instructions are never published on this website. See the Bank Wire Payment Policy and the Wire-Fraud Prevention Notice.

How are orders shipped and insured?

We ship within the United States: $15 standard shipping on orders under $100, and free shipping on orders of $100 or more. Tracking is provided when your order ships. The shipping method, insurance and delivery arrangements for your order are confirmed with your order, before you pay. See the Shipping, Insurance, and Delivery Policy.

Are product photographs exact or representative?

Photographs are representative unless a listing says otherwise. You receive the product described in the title; the individual piece, its serial or certification number, and its packaging may differ from the item pictured.

Which grading services may be used for certified products?

Certified coins are supplied in the listed grade from Professional Coin Grading Service, Numismatic Guaranty Company or CAC Grading. The holder and label in a photograph show one of these services as an example; the service on the coin you receive may differ.

What is the difference between bullion and certified coins?

Bullion bars, rounds and coins are valued mainly for the precious metal they contain. A certified coin has been authenticated and graded by an independent grading service and sealed in a protective holder, so its price also reflects its grade, scarcity and collector demand.

Can Citizens Gold Reserve buy back my metals later?

Citizens Gold Reserve may offer to buy qualifying bullion and certified coins. We evaluate product type, condition, current spot price, market premiums and demand. An offer is not guaranteed. See Sell to Us.

Who qualifies for the Consignment Program?

The program is a resale option for qualifying certified coins that were originally purchased through Citizens Gold Reserve and are accepted into the program. Acceptance, sale price and timing are not guaranteed. See the Consignment Program.
